If you’re looking for something a little special this weekend, Torrevieja has not one but two fantastic concerts lined up – and both are well worth a listen.

What’s on and when?

Saturday May 10 at 8.00pm – Royal Film Concert Orchestra

International Auditorium, Torrevieja

Back by popular demand, the Royal Film Concert Orchestra will be playing all the classics from the big screen. From Star Wars and Harry Potter to Gladiator, The Lion King and Pirates of the Caribbean, this concert is packed with much-loved music by Ennio Morricone, Hans Zimmer and John Williams.

With musicians from across Europe and conductor Fernando Furones leading the way, it promises to be a brilliant night for film fans and music lovers alike.

Sunday May 11 at 12.00pm – Torrevieja Youth Symphony Orchestra (JOST)

Municipal Theatre, Torrevieja

On Sunday morning, the talented young musicians of Torrevieja Youth Symphony Orchestra take to the stage. Their programme includes Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 and a double bass concerto featuring one of their own, Adrián Martínez.

To top it off, they’ll be performing the world premiere of Magellan’s Expedition – a brand new piece by their conductor, Adolfo Arronis, inspired by the famous explorer’s journey around the world.
