ARCHIVED - Transport restrictions prolonged for a further month in Murcia Region
The same restrictions as were originally published in the BORM on 19th August will continue to apply for a further month from 20th October for 30 days
The restrictions are fairly straightforward, the main one affecting foreign residents being the 50% occupancy of a private vehicle and maximum of 50% occupancy on public transport.
A couple who live together in the same household do not need to wear a mask in a vehicle being used only by themselves, but if the occupants of the vehicle come from different households, then a mask must be worn. In 9 seater vehicles up to 5 people can travel.
The official blurb:
Article 2. Additional measures. On a temporary basis, the following additional measures are established for the entire territory of the Region of Murcia in the regular transport of passengers by road and in private vehicles:
2.1. In general, motorcycles, mopeds and category L vehicles that are provided with two approved seats (driver and passenger) may travel two people.
The use of gloves will be mandatory for the passenger and also for the driver in the case of motorcycles and mopeds intended for shared use. For these purposes, motorcycle protection gloves will be admitted.
2.2. In private private and complementary private transport of people in vehicles with up to nine seats, including the driver, as many people as there are seats in the vehicle may travel, as long as they all live at the same address.
2.3. In private and complementary private transports of people in vehicles with up to nine seats, including the driver, when not all of them live in the same address, 50% of the available seats may be occupied, provided that they respect the maximum possible distance between the occupants .
2.4. In vehicles in which, due to their technical characteristics, only one row of seats is available, as in the case of cabins of heavy vehicles, vans, or others, a maximum of two people may travel, provided they keep the maximum possible distance .
2.5. In regular, discretionary and private complementary public transport for bus passengers, in which all occupants must be seated, 50% of the seats may be used. When the occupancy level allows it, the maximum separation between users will be sought.
2.6. In urban and peri-urban public collective passenger transport, in which there are platforms enabled for the transport of standing passengers, 50% of the seated places may be occupied, and a reference of occupation of two users per meter will be maintained. square in the area enabled to travel standing, having to ensure, in any case, the greatest separation between passengers.
2.7. In vehicles with an odd number of seats the occupancy will be rounded up.
2.8. Whenever a person travels in a vehicle who does not live in the same address as the other passengers, the use of a mask will be mandatory for all of them
