The marina of Islas Menores
One of two marinas in Islas Menores and Mar de Cristal
The marina, or Puerto Deportivo, of Islas Menores, is located on a small headland named Punta de los Barracones, and contains mooring berths for 102 boats. In spring 2015 much-needed renovation and repair work was carried out, and there is now a dry dock for 15 boats and a new central jetty, with improved draft for boats entering and leaving the facility.
The maximum length of boat catered for is 10 metres, with a maximum draft of 1.5 metres.
Water sports including sailing, jet-skiing, rowing and kayaking are all catered for at the sporting facilities in the marina, with tuition courses being held throughout the summer.
The marina of Islas Menores is one of nine in the Mar Menor, its nearest neighbours being the ones in Los Nietos to the west and Mar de Cristal only one mile to the east.
