Torrevieja is preparing to celebrate one of its most flavourful annual events as the 9th Edition of International Tapas Day arrives on Saturday September 27.

 

Coinciding with World Tourism Day, the city will transform into a hub of gastronomy, offering locals and visitors the chance to savour the best in local and international cuisine.

 

A wide selection of bars and restaurants across Torrevieja will be taking part, each serving up their own culinary creations with a special promotion of a tapa and a drink for just €3.50. The event provides the perfect opportunity to sample a variety of dishes while enjoying the lively atmosphere that has made International Tapas Day one of the most popular dates on the city’s calendar.

 

In addition to the food and drink on offer, participants can join raffles and take part in an Instagram photography contest with fantastic prizes up for grabs. To enter, visitors simply need to scan the QR code available at participating establishments and share their experience online.

 

The event is organised by Torrevieja Gastronómica, the Association of Hospitality Businesses of Torrevieja and the Region, Costa Blanca, Torrevieja Town Hall, Comunitat Valenciana and L’Exquisit Mediterrani.
