Click HereThis is a FREE 4km guided route offered by Águilas tourist office which explores the wild coastline of the municipality, encompassing a huge range of flora and fauna and interesting geological features as well as spectacular beaches such as the Playa de Carolina and the Playa de los Cocedores. .
This stretch of semi-wild beaches and unspoilt coastline is covered by the SL-MU 18 walking route, and the hike departs from the beach of Calarreona at 10:00 (at the southern end by the campsite). It then takes participants to four of the attractive coves which lie within a protected area, included by the European Commission within the Natura 2000 network as a Site of Community Interest. The Cañada Brusca salt marsh is also a candidate to become a botanical micro-reserve, and the volcanic outcrop of Punta Parda has been proposed as a Site of Geological Interest.
