Click HereThe Carnival celebrations in Águilas are by some distance the biggest and most spectacular in the Region of Murcia, and tickets for the main parades in the 2024 program are already on sale as the town prepares to bathe itself in colour and revelry once again.
The Federación de Peñas de Carnaval de Águilas has placed tickets on sale at their usual premises in Calle Rey Carlos III, 17 (next to the tobacconist’s) every day of the week except Sundays between 17.00 and 20.30. Prices have been set for the various parades as follows:
Sunday February 11: 15 euros
Tuesday February 13: 10 euros
Friday February 16: 5 euros
Saturday February 17: 15 euros
Season tickets including all four events are available at 35 euros, and group discounts are available for parties of at least 25, the prices being reduced to 12 euros for the Sunday and Saturday parades and 8 euros for the Tuesday.
Tickets for the handing over of Carnival powers on Saturday February 3 and the Body Make-Up competition on Sunday February 4, both of them being held at the Pabellón Municipal “Diego Calvo Valera”, will be available from the headquarters of the Federación de Peñas from Tuesday January 16.

Águilas boasts 28 kilometres of coastline, with many fine, sandy beaches, sheltered coves and unspoilt natural beaches. It is a great summer favourite with Spanish holidaymakers, so always has a superb programme of concerts and activities throughout the summer, as well as the biggest carnival in the Region of Murcia, 40 days before Semana Santa (Easter.)
Throughout the year it also has a number of museums and historical attractions, a castle with fabulous views overlooking the bay and several other points of interest, all of which make it an good place to visit for days out. Throughout the year the tourist office runs monthly guided tours and the route of the railways, which explores the railway history of the town.
The tourist information office is located in the Plaza de Antonio Cortijos, just a short walk from the sea front and Plaza de España, a cool, shaded space in which to enjoy a coffee.
