Ruta de los Belenes nativity scenes on display in Aguilas this Christmas

18 Christmas tableaux are included on the Ruta de los Belenes map in Águilas

The 5th annual Ruta de los Belenes has been launched by the Town Hall of Águilas, with maps having been produced to help visitors make their way around the town and see all of the tableaux featured. These maps are to be available at the Águilas tourist office.

Don't expect these nativity scenes to be faithful reproductions of Nazareth 2,000 years ago: it is the custom in Spain for local scenery and monumnets to be represented, and it is therefore reasonable to expect constant sightings of the castle, the windmills of Águilas, the coastline and other iconic local scenes!

The nativity scenes included this year are the following:

Belén Cofradía del Resucitado, Plaza Doctor Calero, open 11.00 to 13.30 and 17.30 to 20.30. Official opening December 6.

Belén del Paso Azul, Centro Comercial Águilas Plaza, open Monday to Saturday 17.00 to 21.00.

Belén de Salvador, Calle Galán y García Hernández, 8, shop opening hours.

Belén Parroquia del Carmen, in the church of the same name, open Wednesday to Saturday 19.30 to 20.30.

Belén Manchego, Calle Antonio Manzanera 12, open Monday to Saturday 20.00 to 21.00.

Belén Asociación de Tébar, alongside the Águilas-Lorca motorway at exit 25, open Saturdays 19.00 to 21.00.

Belén Francisco Miras Asensio, Calle Valencia, 22, open every day except Sundays 19.30 to 21.00 and on Sundays 10.00 to 14.00 and 18.00 to 21.00.

Belén de Pedro Ruiz, Calle Jovellanos, 75, permanently visible in the shop window.

Belén de Juani Ruiz, Cooperativa Agricultores de Águilas, 14, 5°, open 11.00 to 14.00.

Belén de Salvador Sánchez Galán, Calle Hospital 2, open Monday to Saturday 17.30 to 18.30.

Belén del Abuelo, Calle Ramón y Cajal 31, open Sundays 10.00 to 13.00 and 17.00 to 20.00.
