ARCHIVED - Repairs and clean-up continuing in Playa Paraiso following Gota Fria
The Gota Fría hit the Murcia Region on 12th/13th September
Work still continues not only right around the Mar Menor but also in many other areas of the region to repair infrastructure damaged by the severe Gota Fría which hit the Region on the 12th/13th September 2019.
Although damage to infrastructure has disappeared from the headlines of the regional media, there is still a vast amount of work to do fixing up areas damaged by the storm, particularly the coastal areas surrounding the Mar Menor, where millions of litres of floodwater swept down from the surrounding farmlands, carrying silt and debris into the waters.
Thanks to Stan Wilby who supplied these images showing the repair work continuing in the area around Playa Paraiso, which lies within the Cartagena municipality.
