Rain returns, but not for long: Spain weather forecast June 2-5
Many parts of Spain can expect storms and a drastic temperature drop in the next few days

Weather outlook on Monday afternoon, June 2
After our impromptu and unexpected mini-heatwave over the weekend, the weather is set to return to more normal behaviour this week, with rain and thunderstorms making a reappearance during the next couple of days. Temperatures will also drop pretty dramatically but there’s no need to pack away the beach towels just yet, as this stormy blip should be short-lived.
Monday June 2

An Atlantic front that has been threatening for a few days will arrive on Monday, pushing away the warmer air mass and resulting in widespread rain and overcast skies in much of northern Spain. The south as well will be a little cloudier, particularly early on, and the showers look likely to extend southwards later in the day.
Daytime temperatures will experience a general dip, particularly in the southwest. However, the thermometers will still exceed 30ºC in large parts of Andalucía and Murcia.
Tuesday June 3

Tuesday will be partly cloudy everywhere and overcast to the north, where more rain is forecast. This could spread to the southeast towards the evening and there’s also a possibility of the odd thunderstorm.
Temperatures will continue to drop in much of the country and return to normal levels. However, in large areas of the north of Spain and the Canary Islands coast, highs will rise, although they are unlikely to reach 34ºC.
Wednesday June 4

Heavy cloud cover is again expected in the north and east of Spain on Wednesday although it will gradually become more overcast as the hours go by in the rest of the country as well.
Maximum temperatures will continue to drop in the northeast and the archipelagos, but will rise in the Cantabrian Sea, the upper Ebro and the southwest. Night-time temperatures will drop inland.
Thursday June 5

The weather will start to pick up again on Thursday and while some cloudy intervals are likely, any light rain should be confined to the extreme north.
Daytime temperatures will start to inch up again, especially inland, although there could be another slight dip along the southeast coast.
