October 25: Big Reds dog show is back on in Algorfa
Ten classes and a Best in Show prize are up for grabs at Lo Crispin Tavern

The Big Reds dog show is finally going ahead this Sunday October 25 at Lo Crispin Tavern in Algorfa, after last weekend’s storms forced the organisers to postpone it. All the money raised will go to Big Reds Animal Association and Paradise Rescue Kennels.
The team were gutted to cancel and admitted that the Sunday then turned out lovely, so fingers and paws are crossed for better weather this time. The extra week has at least given everyone longer to spread the word.
Registration opens at 10am and the show starts at midday, with entry costing €5 per dog and handler. There are ten classes in all, including Best Rescue Dog, Most Handsome Dog, Prettiest Bitch, Waggiest Tail, Best Trick, veterans over eight, juniors under 18 months and a young handler class, and the winners go forward to Best in Show and Reserve.
Judging is by Ann Dyson and Courtney Formosa from Tails in Tubs.
The organisers thanked everyone who’s helped to put the event together, and they’re asking supporters to share the news so that as many people as possible come along.
