ARCHIVED - November 5 and 13 Titeremurcia puppet shows come to Aguilas for the second year running
Titeremurcia comes to Águilas for the second year running with two great family shows at the Francisco Rabal Cultural Centre

Titeremurcia, the International Puppet Theatre Festival of the Region of Murcia, will take place throughout the region between November 4 and 13 with 50 programmed activities taking place for its 21st anuual edition, including films shown at the cinema and workshops. And this time around, the Town Council of Águilas is joining in the fun for the second year running, with puppet-based events happening in the southern Murcia town on November 5.
Specifically, the Casa de la Cultura Francisco Rabal will host two shows from the festival’s programme. The first of these, Galletas de Queso (which literally translates to ‘Cheese Biscuits’), by the company Txo Titelles, is a highly sensitive show in which the main character, an old man who lives alone, will delight us and make us laugh thanks to a new tenant who steals his biscuits. Two puppeteers on stage and a human-sized puppet manage to fill the space with such intensity that the two manipulators disappear from view. The characteristic mark of the company that, with its gadgets and mechanisms, creates unexpected, magical and extraordinary moments to narrate a beautiful story about the loneliness of the elderly. The show will take place on Saturday November 5 at 6pm and entrance tickets cost 5 euros per person.
The following weekend, the festival will return to Águilas with the play Vida, by the creator Javier Aranda, a show that has won countless awards such as the Best Theatre Show Award at the XXXI Feria Internacional de Huesca 2018, the FETÉN Award for Best Small Format Show 2018 and the Drac D’or Julieta Agustí Award for Best Show, the Award for Best Show by the International Jury and the Award for Best Show by the Jury at the Fira de Titelles Lleida 2018. All these awards endorse a play that introduces us to the fantastic journey of two people from their birth and throughout the events that happen in their life journey. A surprising and funny show that connects us with deep emotions through the two hands of its creator and the universe hidden inside a sewing basket. This exciting performance can also be seen at the Casa de la Cultura in Águilas on Sunday November 13 at 12 noon. Tickets for this show also cost 5 euros.
The festival organisers are excited to return to the town of Águilas this year and to be part of the long list of locations that make up Titeremurcia. Tickets, already on sale, can be purchased through the festival website www.titeremurcia.com and through the Águilas Auditorium website https://www.auditorio-aguilas.org/casa-cultura.php
