November 28 and 29 Jack and the Beanstalk dual language panto in San Pedro del Pinatar
The ADAPT Theatre Group perform their annual panto at the Teatro Geli Albaladejo in San Pedro
Following sell-out shows in each of the last three years the annual dual-language panto staged by the ADAPT Theatre Group in San Pedro del Pinatar is moving to a larger venue, the Teatro Geli Albaladejo (click for map), for this year’s show, with three performances of Jack and the Beanstalk on Friday 28th November at 19.00 and Saturday 29th November at 12.00 and 19.00.
Starring Sheena Capozzi as Jack, the show is a musical comedy in two languages (English and Spanish), and these productions have proved hugely popular ever since they first began with Cinderella in 2011.
Tickets for the shows are on sale at just 5 euros – next to nothing for a rare chance to enjoy this uniquely British festive tradition! – and can be purchased in advance from Bar Amigos on Avenida Las Salinas (click for map, afternoons and evenings only), Mail Pinatar (Seur) on Calle Reyes Católicos (click for map) or by telephone/WhatsApp on 656 361098 (contact Eric).
All proceeds will be used to fund the group’s activities in helping British people integrate with Spanish life and culture and any surplus is donated to charitable causes – ADAPT is a non-profit-making organization.

Adapt Theatre Group started out in 2010 as part of the ADAPT association (Asociación de Angloparlantes de San Pedro del Pinatar - Association of English Speakers of San Pedro del Pinatar).
The aims have always been in line with those of ADAPT, namely the integration of the English speaking community in the town and from the start the work of the association was accessible to both English and Spanish speaking communities, helping to involve the local community as much as possible.
In 2011, ADAPT produced its first bilingual pantomime, Cinderella, and since then has gone on to perform a total of 10 pantomimes, involving a whole variety of well-known residents, people from further afield, and local places. Dance groups have been made up of students from English classes in local schools. At the end of 2021, ADAPT association disbanded and the ADAPT Theatre Group was born as an independent entity. The main aim is to continue performing for the local community, to continue to work for integration and to give back what we can to the town, that has become home to the group
New members are always welcome, both actors and people who can help back-stage with props, scenery and costumes, so please get in touch if you are interested in joining in.
Pantomime rehearsals start mid- to late August and take place every Wednesday morning at 9.30am in San Pedro. There are also occasional Saturday morning rehearsals for some roles.
During the final week, in either late November or early December, rehearsals are almost every day, and there is a dress rehearsal culminating in 3 or 4 shows at the end of the week.
For more information and a chance to watch some of the pantomimes, please go to the ADAPT Theatre Group website.
