“Poncia”, by Luis Luque, is set on a thick foggy night, when Poncia, the servant of Bernarda Alba in the classic play “La Casa de Bernarda Alba” by Federico García Lorca, is praying for the soul of her departed mistress. The house is silent but Poncia maintains a dialogue with Bernarda and her daughters., examining some of the dark corners in Lorca’s work and broaching topics such as suicide, freedom, guilt, class, education and sex.
The performance on Saturday March 29 begins at 20.00 with tickets priced at 20 euros and available online here as well as at the Auditorio itself before the curtain rises if there are seats left.
