Gérard TERRIEN was born in the Central African Republic in 1950. In 2015 he moved to Águilas to enjoy his retirement.
It was at the age of 15 that he became interested in photography with his first camera, a gift from his older brother, since when he has followed his passion for nature photography.

After a first trip to the northwestern part of Argentina in 2014, he returned in 2015 to discover the regions of San Juan and Mendoza. In November 2016, he began a 3-month trip through Chile, from the North to the Island of Chiloé.
In 2017 he made several trips to the Sahara desert, Dunas de Merzouga, organized by the Rodríguez family (Automotive 4x4 to realize “his dream” of traveling the road between Ushuaia and Alaska.
Preparation of the trip took him 14 months and in November 2018 he began, from Montevideo, his adventure.
In February 2020, at the end of his visit to Colombia, he decided to end his adventure, after 18 months of travel, 50,000 kilometers, almost all alone, passing through 8 countries (Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia) taking more than 12,000 photos of which 30 have been selected for this exhibition.
