Car flips upside down after crash on La Manga's Gran Vía
The accident resulted in no serious injuries but caused long traffic delays
A dramatic crash early on the morning of Wednesday August 26 shook residents of La Manga and led to further traffic delays in the area. A collision between two vehicles left one of them overturned, coming to rest upside down in the middle of the road.
Tourists walking through the busy area at the time crowded around after hearing the crash. Given that it’s peak tourist season and Gran Vía was already carrying heavy traffic, the accident caused long queues of cars building up on both sides of the road.
No serious injuries were reported, according to municipal sources. The council also confirmed that neither driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol.
