British tourist sexually assaulted twice in one night in Spain

A 19-year-old British woman was reportedly subjected to two separate sexual attacks this week while holidaying with family on the Balearic Island of Menorca. A fellow Briton has been arrested in connection with one of the assaults.

The horrifying incidents occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning, September 14, in the resort of Arenal d'en Castell.

According to reports, the woman was raped by a man after a night out at a pub. She then claimed to have been attacked again by two other men in a separate incident. The woman returned to her hotel, where she was staying with her family, barefoot and in her underwear.

A 25-year-old British man, who was staying at the same hotel, has been arrested in connection with one of the assaults. He was detained by police just hours after the incidents were reported.

Two other men, described as seasonal workers, are currently under investigation for the second alleged attack, but have not yet been arrested. The police investigation is being led by the Guardia Civil in Menorca, with Local Police also involved.

The incident has shocked the resort of Arenal d'en Castell, which is known for its family-friendly atmosphere and beautiful beaches.

Last year, the holiday hotspot made headlines when a rotting corpse washed up on the beach, causing horror among tourists and locals alike.

Just a few days ago, a British teenager was left fighting for his life after a freak accident at a popular water park on the neighbouring island of Mallorca. The 15-year-old sustained a serious head injury on September 17 at the Hidropark in Alcúdia, a bustling destination known for its thrilling water slides and family attractions.
