Click HereThe annual August full moon concerts at the castle of San Juan de las Águilas (in Águilas) have in recent years become iconic of the summer festivities in the popular coastal resort, with great interest not only in the concerts themselves but also on the helicopter airlift exercise required to raise a grand piano onto the outdoor arena just outside the clifftop fortress.
This year the three concerts in the short cycle are the following:
Sunday August 18: A performance by violinist Laura Rodríguez Moreno and pianist Juan José Blázquez.
Monday August 19: A recital by pianist Timofey Dolya.
Tuesday August 20: Soprano Carmen Muñoz is accompanied by the Murcia Brass Quintet.
All events begin at 22.00.
Tickets can be purchased in advance for 30 euros per event from Calle Castelar, nº2, 2º B (weekdays 10.00 to 14.00 and 17.00 to 21.00 or by telephone on 626 476389. A season ticket for all three events is priced at 75 euros.
