Click HereThe town of Águilas celebrates its rich heritage in the field of esparto grass weaving on Sunday August 11 with a series of activities based around the Plaza de España and an exhibition which is running until August 13 in the Casa de la Cultura Francisco Rabal.
The exhibition can be visited free of charge on weekdays between 18.00 and 21.00 while the activities in the Plaza de España begin at 19.00 with an official welcome extended to exhibitors and craftsmen and women from Águilas, Lorca and Torre Pacheco, including Bernardo y Los Moris.
At 20.00 awards will be presented to Andrés López Diaz and Susana Lajarín López while the square will be decorated by information panels created by Juan Hernández and Gabriel Muñiz from August 2 to 20.
