The sunny, breezy pattern of recent days across Andalucía takes a cloudier, wetter turn this weekend, with showers becoming more likely, especially in the west, alongside some very strong easterly gusts rattling the coasts. Temperatures hold up reasonably well in many spots despite the change, but it will feel fresher where the wind gets up and the rain sets in.

 

 

Thursday starts with patches of mid and high cloud, but skies turn more overcast later, particularly in the western third where showers spread during the evening hours. Expect a chilly night-time start in some spots, though daytime values stay steady or even lift a little elsewhere. Winds tend southerly in the west and easterly in the east, mostly light to moderate, but very strong gusts whip up along the eastern Mediterranean coast, with yellow warnings for coastal winds around Cádiz and Málaga, plus orange alerts nearer Almería and Granada.

 

 

Friday stays unsettled with widespread cloud and showers, some possibly thundery along the western Mediterranean near Málaga. Night-time temperatures change little, though they nudge up slightly along the Atlantic side by Huelva, while daytime highs dip back a fraction. Easterly winds blow lightly to moderately for most, easing later, but pick up to moderate or strong along the coasts and in Cádiz, with occasional very strong gusts during the morning, keeping yellow coastal warnings active across Cádiz, Málaga and Granada.

 

 

Saturday is another very cloudy day with the odd shower popping up here and there. Night-time values hold steady, but daytime temperatures slip in the eastern interior around Granada while staying put or rising slightly elsewhere, such as Córdoba. Winds are light and variable inland with a general easterly feel, turning moderate along the coasts, and Seville should still manage a decent 23 °C in any brighter spells.

 

 

Sunday keeps those periods of very heavy cloud with occasional showers still in the mix. Minimum temperatures dip a touch or stay similar, while daytime highs pick up in the east near Almería and further north around Jaén, leaving most areas feeling mild enough between the wet bits. Light, variable breezes dominate inland, with moderate easterlies hugging the coasts, such as Tarifa, to give a bit of a fresh edge.

 

 

This unsettled mix of cloud, showers and coastal gusts looks set to linger a while longer into next week across Andalucía.
