Aguilas beaches and marinas top the 2023 Costa Calida Blue Flag chart with 11 awards

9 beaches and 2 marinas in Águilas will fly the Blue Flag indicating quality this summer

It has been announced by the ADEAC organization that this year the number of Blue Flags awarded to beaches and other installations in the municipality of Águilas for the summer is 10, once again the highest figure among the eight coastal municipalities of the Region of Murcia.

As Mayoress Mari Carmen Moreno commented on receiving the news, this is an occasion to thank all of those whose hard work has led to such quality being achieved in the services and safety precautions at the beaches of Águilas: Blue Flags are awarded to beaches after taking into consideration many different factors, including the facilities on offer, beach safety and of course water quality.

On those criteria the 9 beaches in the municipality permitted to fly the prestigious Blue Flag this summer are those of Calarreona, La Carolina, La Casica Verde, La Higuerica, Las Delicias, Levante, Matalentisco and Poniente: click here for a guide to all of the 30-plus beaches of Águilas.

In addition, two more flags will be flown by the marinas of Club Náutico Águilas and Puerto Deportivo Juan Montiel.
