Click HereThe 9th edition of the annual Águilas tapas route is taking place between the 14th November and the 9th December inclusive, offering a selection of 20 tapa and desserts in 10 hostelries within the Águilas municipality.
The specially prepared tapa will be sold alongside a glass of Estrella de Levante beer at the price of 2.50 euros.
The route takes the standard format: A route map can be collected from participating hostelries, or the tourist information office, showing the participating establishments and the tapa they offer. Armed with the map, “taperos” select the tapa they would like to try, then set off and find the establishment, order the tapa and ask for the route card to be stamped as proof of purchase. There is no set schedule, taperos can visit as few or as many establishments as they want to, and the route can be revisited at any time during the promotion.
Participating hostelries. Restaurante la Veleta, Arrecife Resto Bar, Cafetería Bamboo, Restaurante Ginés, Restaurante Tiburón, Gastrobar La Cueva, Café Bar Alacena, Restaurante Nostra Brasería, Café Bar Poseidón and Zoco del Mar.
In addition, a photographic competition is running alongside the tapas route, with a 200 euro prize up for grabs! Participants need only take a photograph of one of the tapa they are enjoying en-route and send it to info@hosteaguilas.com; the photograph obtaining the most likes on the social media of the hostelry association will win the prize! The hostelry which obtains the most photographs of its tapa will also be awarded a prize for the "most photographed tapa of 2019".
Enjoy!
